Nicole Prause, Principal Investigator
Nicole Prause (view CV) obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 2000 with High Honors and Distinction in Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington. She continued graduate study at Indiana University with The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction and received her Ph.D. in Clinical Science in 2007. Dr. Prause completed her internship at the Boston Consortium with teaching fellowships at Boston University and Harvard University. She joined the faculty in the Department of Psychology at Idaho State University as Assistant Professor in 2007 and is Associated Faculty in the Women’s Studies Program.

Maxwell Moholy, First Year in Experimental Psychology
Maxwell is working as a lab coordinator while in his first year of the Experimental Psychology program. He received his B.S. in psychology from the University of California at San Diego in 2003. After graduation he served as the lab coordinator in the Language and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory in La Jolla for 2 years before moving to Pocatello to attend Idaho State University. While in La Jolla, Maxwell also volunteered as an interventionist in a high school alcohol program
Prathamesh Patil, Second Year in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Prathamesh Patil works as a lab coordinator. He obtained his Bachelors in Pharmacy from University of Mumbai, India in 2008. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Pharmacology at Idaho State University. He wishes to pursue his PhD. eventually
Verena Roberts, Fifth Year in Clinical Psychology (on internship)
Verena Roberts received her B.S. in Psychology from Idaho State University and graduated with high honors. Verena originally grew up in Berlin, Germany. For her master's thesis research, Verena investigated the construct of erotophobia/erotophilia by using the startle eye blink paradigm. Verena's dissertation research included physiological assessment of models explaining sexual aversion and low sexual desire, which was honored as the best poster prentation at SSTAR in 2009. Throughout her training, Verena has received numerous competitive scholarships (i.e., ASISU, Kasiska). She has worked at the Janet Anderson Gender Resource Center as a graduate assistant for the past two years where she was actively involved in HIV prevention, for which she successfully wrote and received grants from the Department of Health and Welfare. Verena currently is completing her internship in Denver.
Cameron Staley, Third Year in Clinical Psychology
Cameron Staley completed his B.S. in Psychology at Weber State University graduating summa cum laude. During his undergraduate, he received competitive intramural funding and presented at regional professional meetings. He has conducted research on group processes and deception in intimate relationships, and his current research interests include sexual functioning in relationships and the impact of erotica use on relationship satisfaction. Cameron sucessfully defended his grant-supported thesis and is developing his dissertation project.
Brook Bacon
Brook Bacon is currently working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration. Brook formally lived in Boise where she managed sales and marketing functions for Holland Realty and residential projects such as CitySide Lofts, The Jefferson, Crescent Rim and other residential construction developments. Her other interests include photography, biking, and travel.
Karisma Mead, Freshman
Karisma is a undergraduate student at Idaho State University. She plans to major in Microbiology and Psychology.She plans on going to medical school and becoming a doctor. Her hobbies include photography and reading, Karisma is also interested in hiking and fishing.
Marisa Ayala, Sophomore
Marisa Ayala is a Sophmore Psychology major at Idaho State University. Abnormal Psychology and Experimental Psychology are her favourite topics in Psychology. She has keen interest in the lab work and hopes to gain valuable experience.
Natalie, Larsen
Natalie Larsen is currently a senior at Idaho State University and is working on her Bachelor degree in Social Work. She hopes to then go on to receive her Master’s degree; however, she has not decided on an area of specialization. Natalie grew up in Blackfoot, but now calls Pocatello home. In her spare times she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her children.
